This Ol' House Thursday...OVERWHELMED!!! (In a GOOD way!)

Whew!  Our garage is LOADED with furniture for my upcoming Flea Market, my mom, sister and I are hosting.  We have a TON of stuff...I can't wait to get it all out of my garage (and hopefully SOLD!!)

If you missed this yesterday...check out this sweet little nightstand HERE.

This is just one of the MANY (I will be loading my hubby's cattle trailer FULL of goods) pieces I have for sale at our Flea Market in Kerman, CA.  If you want more information on our Flea Market

I need to get my garage cleared out and everything sold because....the handyman is coming TO BUILD ME A LAUNDRY ROOM!!!!  (It is CRAZY the things we get excited about in our 30's?!?)

I have said we live in the country...smack dab in the MIDDLE of cows, feed trucks, milk barns, feed barns, scale houses, silage pits...you name it...it is on top of (ok, near) our house.  That makes for one DUSTY mess...especially in the summer!  DO NOT get me wrong...I LOVE our home...and am so thankful for the hard worker I LOVE and married that provides this home (and VERY COOL dairy life) for us!  BUT...this girl is OVER the dust DIRT in her laundry area!

I have a hall tree just like this that I bought about 10 years ago.  It is black now...and will be getting a facelift of course...maybe a creamy white???  Not sure.  I think I may even attempt to build some shelves...stop laughing!
Amazing mud room ideas

Yes, I am like a kid at Christmas with this laundry room planning. It was just a thought a while ago...my husband and I do not spend money willy-nillly (we DON'T have it to spend anyway!! HA!)  So, we have really thought and planned and come up with the BEST way to get the MOST bang for our buck.  I will NOT be showing you the before pics now...just wait!  Cabinets are an expense we are choosing not to deal with right now...so, I will be using some of my vintage yard sale pieces...dressers, desks and other storage pieces for now.  Heck, I may even keep them and NEVER buy expensive cabinets!

mud room storage
I actually have a color VERY similar to this on these walls here (left from our bedroom.)  See, this laundry room project is getting cheaper and cheaper!

My new DIY craft table ... let the creating begin!!! http://www.joy2journey.com

I have wanted one of these craft tables for a while...I just found the two cubbies at a yard sale.  So...this will be going along the back where a counter would go.  My sewing table will be going out here as well.  That is going to free up space in my office where we can spread the girl's toys out...doll houses, art easels...all that fun stuff!

painting cement laundry floor
For the floor...I saw this on Pinterest.  Not sure I will make my floor as "busy" but...I do have something up my sleeve!!  The floor is currently cement that is in perfect condition...I will be staining/painting it and saving money there as well!

Okay...not sure how long this is going to take.  I will hopefully have some before, during and Happily Ever After shots SOON!!!  Have a great day!

Julie
